Bear Grip Lifting Belts

Brace Hard. Lift Heavy. Stay Locked In.

A lifting belt is one of the most valuable tools in a serious lifter’s kit. When used correctly, it helps increase intra-abdominal pressure, supports effective bracing, and promotes greater stability under load. From heavy powerlifting and Olympic lifting to weighted calisthenics and general strength training, the Bear Grip belt lineup is built to meet the demands of serious athletes without compromising on materials, construction, or performance.

Why Use a Lifting Belt?

Increased Bracing Support Bracing against a belt helps create a more rigid torso, providing additional support during heavy lifts.
Enhanced Body Awareness The physical feedback from the belt reinforces proper bracing mechanics and lifting technique.
Greater Stability Under Load A properly fitted belt can help maintain a stronger, more stable position during compound movements.
Improved Confidence When training near your limits, a belt provides the support many athletes rely on for squats, deadlifts, presses, and other heavy lifts.

Common Questions.

Not for every session. However, during heavy compound lifts such as squats, deadlifts, and overhead presses, a lifting belt can provide valuable support by helping you brace more effectively and maintain stability under load. Many athletes choose to use a belt during high-intensity sets while continuing to train beltless at lighter loads to develop overall trunk strength and bracing mechanics.
Firm, but not restrictive. You should be able to fit one to two fingers between the belt and your torso when relaxed. When you take a deep breath and brace, you should feel your core pressing outward into the belt. If the belt shifts during a lift, it is likely too loose. If it restricts breathing before you brace, it is likely too tight.
